01 PROJECT DETAILS

Millia is an Amsterdam-based luxury leather goods brand with production in the renowned leather town of Ubrique, Spain. We collaborated with Millia on branding and product design, laying the groundwork for their brand launch.

02 THE PROCESS

  • Initial design phase: We collaborated with the newly launched brand Millia, working with the Founder to define the logo, typography, color palette, imagery, social media aesthetic, and product branding.
  • The concept: By incorporating geometric shapes and dynamic waved lines, we built a concept that embraces the bold aesthetic of the electric 70s, taking inspiration from Ettore Sottsass’s ‘Ultrafragola Mirror’.
  • Integrating the design: The fluid design element was then integrated into the brand logo and later applied to the design of the handbag strap, creating thematic consistency across the entire project.
  • Second phase: During phase two, we conceptualized the first bag design for Millia. Employing a similar technique with line and shape work, matched with an intense color pallet, we captured the brand’s bold aesthetic.

03 THE RESULT

The first Millia bag was released, crafted from the finest Italian leather in Ubrique, Andalusia (the world capital for artisanal leather). Our design work on this statement debut bag has highlighted Millia’s dedication to luxury and craftsmanship. This, coupled with the 70s-inspired visual identity, have successfully launched and cemented Millia as a brand to watch in the luxury leather goods market.
