01 PROJECT DETAILS

Fluffle is a start-up for premium dog accessories. In order to ensure comfort and style forf urry companions, they craft original accessories, including handmade collars, harnesses, and coats, using fine-quality leather and cutting-edge processed metals.
Bye Bye Studio was commissioned to design a new product range of accessories, including dog collars and leashes.

02 THE PROCESS

  • Design: The process of designing accessories for animals is a little different and requires a unique approach; considerations need to be taken for the functionality and safety of pets while still delivering an aesthetically pleasing product.
  • Considerations: Before diving into the design, we considered physical factors, such as how dogs move, play, and interact with their accessories. This helped us to enter the design phase with an understanding of their natural behavior and align our design accordingly.
  • Striking a balance: With safety as a key precaution, we designed items using non-toxic materials that would be gentle on a dog’s skin and coat. The key here was to find a balance between function and style.

03 THE RESULT

Fluffle successfully launched the new accessory collection, showcasing dog collars and leashes handcrafted from smooth calfskin — in a range of colors. All products feature raw edge finishing with contrasting edge painting, adding depth and color to the collection. Additionally, the fine design details, such as the subtle hand-stitched collar detailing, were of primary importance.
